Comments on: At the time of posting this, the infamous season of Winter is just around the corner, scenes like this will be possible again! On a bright and sunny February day, CN Macmillan Yard – Aldershot Yard turn L570 charges through Georgetown with a pleasant BC Rail (or, BCOL) GE C40-8M in the lead, this unit was built for the British Columbia Railway in 1993 out of General Electric’s Erie, PA locomotive plant. One could wish for the unit to have a cleaner nose, but you take what ya get! This unit is still active on CN’s roster.

Hoping 4625 survives a few more years longer, IIRC the unit has been captive in rural BC as a yard switcher... worst possible choice for that job but who am I to judge?

That X421 ran on Feb 29. Was quite the sad show watching 4625 and 2411 trying to depart Hamilton.
