Comments on: At the very northeast corner of Redwater, the tail end cars of the Muskeg Mixed are leaving town and heading down to the river. That is CN coach 5095 and baggage 7857. After conversion, I came to term it a bagboose. :-) You can see mile post 30 up on the pole. It is 20:00 and in less than 15 minutes I will be at Egremont for a photo of the head end. As far a “comboose” is concerned, NAR had many but they all had passenger accommodations and the resultant windows.
This car was a full baggage / express car and I thing the small cupola at the end was a CN addition after the older “combeese” were taken out of service.

I believe the correct term is “Comboose” for combine-caboose.

The baggage was bought by NAR from Pullman years ago. It started life as a baggage / lounge on eastern U.S. first-class trains. A lot of years service under it’s belt!
