Comments on: Back in 1988 when the Circus Train came to town (Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus) there had to be somewhere to hide out and give the animals a chance to ‘stretch their legs’; not an easy thing to do when in a place like Niagara Falls. While the task was carried out; the power for the train was also changed. In this view, CP 8207, 8205 and 1684 as photographed was later replaced by new set with 8208 as leader……….

The NYC era signal is also a nice touch. So hard to find now in Canada or the USA.

Arnold, what an interesting picture, and where in the heck was this location, somewhere near Montrose Yard ? Love the NYC style signals, and they too are history. Thanks for posting, John

I might add I am puzzled as to why very few photographers took an interest in it.

Dunno, Bruce, but most likely. Reg Button and I "chased" this thing but I cannot recall our conversation about where it was going to or where it came from. :o) It was just the idea of seeing it in the Falls back then.

Is this the train that was in Hamilton. It was parked at Hunter St when the show was on at Copps.
