When Walt was at the juction he used to hand the stuff out to anyone close so he didn’t have to get rid of it. Broken cross bucks, broken road gates what ever there was it had to go. He used to save it the siginal end of the station but no one would come and pick it up. So he said, I have a better idea. Art Hatch and I used to sit with a few other railfans at the top of the bluff and the sign was allways one of the topics that came up. After lenthy talks it was generaly assumed that it was first come, first served for who ever got to the scrap pile first! Lol

Somehow I get the feeling you are making an assumption of some mischievous nature. ) The old wooden sign is NOT in my garage. I’ll bet it got broken up and tossed when a replacement aluminum sign went up a long time back. Not getting that sign is one of life’s disappointments. I do wonder where it ended up.
