Comments on: Back in the late ’90′s and early 2000′s I had the opportunity to work “up North” quite a bit, supporting Offices from Sudbury to Rainy River, Ontario. There were numerous locations to shoot trains along the way so I always had my camera with me. Here’s a lucky one from a return trip from Fort Frances to Thunder Bay. Had the radio going and happened to hear a CN train calling a signal on the CN Kashabowie Sub. As the line is only visible in a few locations from Highway #11 I quickly turned around and went back west to the last ‘open’ spot where the main was visible Shortly there after I could hear rumbling of the train approaching. Here is CN 5336 West, Train #337, heading from Thunder Bay to Fort Frances on April 17, 1996. I really miss all those trips up north….
