	<title>Comments on: Back in what I like to call &#8216;heady days&#8217; of passenger trains for me to photograph, we see CP 1406 ready to depart northward to Sudbury where this train would meet up with #1-11 out of Montreal and combine to become #1,westward to Vancouver. The &#8220;Canadian&#8221; ran daily. At the time, CN&#8217;s counterpart, &#8220;The Super Continental&#8221;, also crossed Canada daily. Not quite a year previously from the date of this photo VIA was formed, and in October of &#8217;76 the first CN-CP joint timetable under &#8220;VIA&#8221; came into being. And the slashing of duplication began&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..</title>

		<description>You can tell CP had lost interest in the passenger train. The locomotive is very grubby looking although just departing from Toronto. A decade earlier the whole consist shone when leaving.</description>
