Comments on: Back when vehicle loads were still visible to trackside bystanders: nearly new CPI 542032 (an 89′ open bilevel autorack built by National Steel Car in 1968, CPI reporting marks meant duties were paid for international (I) service) sits in Canadian Pacific’s Agincourt Yard loaded with new GMC pickup trucks, likely from the GM Oshawa plant. A wooden van sits coupled to the other end, possibly meaning this was a local or pickup job that recently arrived in the yard off CP’s Belleville Sub. This would be earliest 1968 as the GM trucks didn’t have fender marker lights until 1968.
