Comments on: Baden Ontario is a spot well covered by rp.ca contributor Jason Noe and quite a few others routinely stop here for photos. Especially since this sign went up, because otherwise, this spot became rather bland since Baden Feed and Supply elevator was removed. What’s interesting is this sign went up sometime in 2020 only to be ‘stolen’ – and it took a few months before it was put back. Once people discovered it here it’s become the spot to go on a 568 chase. Pictured is L568 with three GP9′s leading the train, which got a gaggle of folks out again. The GT/BNSF power set was dismantled and sent back to Toronto Thursday and Friday last week, but this one will bring just as many people out. BTW – for folks going on a chase due to the volume of foamers, including some bad apples who have ruined it for everyone else the Agromart folks in Belton (Near London) have become hostile to railfans. They will be waiting for photographers to show up and you will be watched for trespassing. You’ve been warned.

I've been corrected that Baden Feed and Supply didn't own that elevator. Pestell operated a packaging facility here starting in 1995 so may have been them. There were at one point a few customers here but down to one in later years, now essentially zero.

Baden Feed and Supply didn’t ever have any silos.

Perhaps from your attached pic you’re referring to Pestell, which unloaded various products in Baden for many years before building a new facility in New Hamburg, that still receives rail service from CN.

There's been parades of folks following the train and probably entering the property without permission during business hours. These power sets really brought out the crowds.

I think they just had enough of it.

You crazy "foamers" :-) . What exactly did the "bad apples" do to warrant this negative attention from Agromart?

This day broke the record for railfans in Baden for L568 I believe.

You couldn't beat the light though as seen in your very nice photo.
