Peter, you've indicated one of the target audiences for such a book: would-be tourists from abroad. Somebody living in Canada could send such a book to relatives abroad, as an inducement to pay a visit. Kids might not be impressed with such a book as a Christmas present, but folks with a few decades under their belt - like me - would appreciate it.

As a matter of fact I have made such a book for myself, it's right on my coffe table, but you would have to be willing to board a transatlantic flight to come and take a look at it. What I find really interesting is that if I stop somewhere on a Western highway in the summer I see more European tourists who stop there, whereas the Canadian motorists just zip right on through, headed for Vancouver.

Photos like this - of areas of Canada few Canadians have seen - have convinced me that there should be a big fancy/schmancy coffee table book with photos like this encouraging folks to see Canada for themselves.
