Comments on: Beautiful cool Thursday morning in June. I was out early because the sun was as well. No doubt this area is now socked in tight with endless cookie-cutter houses, but back in 1991 a view looking north from Derry Rd in Milton was a pleasant country setting. A rather nice #385 rolls south, with CN 2117, 2322, 7267, 260(slug) and 1324.
In regards to the leader, there were but 20 of these BBD HR616 units on the CN roster; arriving in 1982, and proved not to be up to snuff……all were gone by 1998. This particular unit was sold off to National Railway Equipment. So much for Bombardier.

Nice shot and view of the entire consist Arnold.

The HR616's were one of my favorites back then. Glad I got to see at least a few years of them operating before they were all retired.
