Comments on: Beautiful summer Saturday morning in July………CN 9509, 9645 and 9603 have just crossed the Welland Canal heading to the Falls and eventually Port Robinson with a couple of BCOL MLW M-630s in tow. At the time British Columbia Rail was ridding themselves of many MLWs in the fleet, and a number of them, as with #722 and 712 on this train were sold to GE. The units gathered in Frontier Yard, in Buffalo, as a visit there two days later netted pix of BCOL 703, 704 and 705 as well as the two featured here. Photo taken from the Beechwood Rd bridge, south of the Glendale Av exit off the QEW. Mamiya 645 1000s, using Fujicolor Reala 100 ISO 120 roll film. The colours really “popped” with this stuff.

The film has made an influence on the colour, true, I would like to also include the sheer number of leaves. Jacob Patterson has posted some photos similar to this where the R/W was just surrounded by thick green foliage. It gets green in our river valley here in Edmonton, but, nothing like this.

And a good picture of “Iron Bridge” in the background. Great colour, and nice composition. Well done Mr. Mooney, John

I was amused too. But that is 'Reala' film for ya. I believe it did not stay on the market long. Developers had a bit of a problem with the stuff. Nice greens, though!!!
