Comments on: Borrowed Chessie power was common on CP around this time, and four such units are shown loaning their horsepower here: Chesapeake & Ohio GP30 units 3006 & 3002 (the latter in the newer Chessie System colours) sandwich GP35′s 3526 & 3539 on CP freight #52, rolling past the fields at Puslinch on CP’s Galt Subdivision. C&O purchased a sizable quantity of GP30 units, EMD’s stylish 2250hp turbocharged second generation 4-axle model of the early 60′s, and followed up with more of the upgraded GP35 model (that boosed the 567D to 2500hp, but did away with the extra styling). They were both commom mainline power on C&O’s own lines in southern Ontario too.

The macphersons still do. They own the land on otjer and side of tracks and behind reg. There are different generations that own different plots now.
