This train looks like the London Pickup, back in the day it was a trainload of shorts built at Toronto Yard & run to Quebec Street as needed, operated by a Pool crew.

Speaking of history, you will notice that there is slag ballast. The program to lay that down was largely complete by 1979. The welded rail was yet to come, you’ll notice both tracks are still jointed rail. It was mostly in place all the way from Quebec Street and finished east of Guelph Jct before the start of GO train service in 1980 (or was it ’81?)
