Comments on: Bunge was shutdown for maintenance work for a couple of weeks earlier this month, and Blue Thunder (as the guys who run it call it) was moved from its usual resting spot for two weeks, where it sat wide open as pictured in nice afternoon sun for the duration. The maintenance has since been completed, and they were back to running canola last night.

Thanks. The quest for a photo of the NSC SW 1001’s brought a renewed interest in the Industrial Area. I enjoy searching out the best photo locations and occasionally meeting other rp.ca contributors.

I also find interest in seeing some of my Signal work on the N&NW since my first exposure in 1972.

that was its usual parking spot, and the trackmobile is usually behind it. For now, it lives.

Terry I see you're finding all our photo spots and haunts in a short period of time :)

Thanks for the update. Too bad to see it go, but it was nice to be able to see it's little drivers moving around.

Stephen, we are currently ironing out the details on purchasing the TrackMobile on site as it arrived brand spanking new with 3 hours on it. Once that's done it will be sold for scrap.

Jamie, this is a good picture. Who would have thought a little over a year after this picture, this engine would pull its last car over to load and head for a torch....sad. Was a good little critter but age caught up with it.

@awmooney I have a model of a'South Carolina Central' G&W unit I broke the bank for. And I was looking to modeling a GATX Geep.. After this thread maybe i'll do a re-think. @Stephen C. Host yes they have the GATX unit on the OBRY, Wish it was the RS18u they use Welland way. If so..I wouldn't have moved out of Mississauga! ;) Speaking of blue..in my early model railroading years, my first locomotive was a TYCO Conrail f unit! Time to throw on some Muddy Waters or similar Blue's tune. ;)

GMTX is getting into everything. Shortlines are ridding themselves of 1'st gen power and going 2'nd gen using GMTX. Funny I got A&O paint my last trip there in '18 - went by the shops in Buckhannon WV and saw GMTX - pass.

Albany Port RR - GMTX - used to have two beautifully painted units, one SW8 and SW1200 each. Now GMTX (bleah)

Trillium (bleah)

VIP Rail Sarnia (bleah!)

CN (Bleah! but i'll still flick it if this era ever ends it'll define it)

SOR had those CIT sky blue junkers...

I'm with you arnold, in fact, friends of mine know how much I hate them too :)
