	<title>Comments on: By the mid-80&#8242;s, the Lindsay Turn wasn&#8217;t looking so hot &#8211; a reflection of the decreasing traffic on many of the southern Ontario branchlines that were struggling to stay alive or being abandoned at the time. CP Rail C424 4223 sits at the northeast corner of CP&#8217;s Toronto (Agincourt) Yard by the Finch Avenue East overpass, ready to head out onto the Havelock Sub with its short train in tow: a single empty flatcar, and a 434000-series offset-cupola steel caboose. Once on the Havelock, it would hop on the Bobcaygeon Sub at Dranoel for its ultimate destination of Lindsay, Ontario. Rail service to and in Lindsay, once a bustling hub of branchlines itself, would end in two more years when the Bobcaygeon Sub was abandoned in November 1987, and that would be it for CP&#8217;s Lindsay Turn. The 4200-series C424 fleet, modified in the early 80&#8242;s from DRF to DRS-24 roadswitcher units for branchline service, would continue to operate into the late 90&#8242;s before the final units were retired.
