Comments on: Canadian National 4-8-4 Northern 6301 (U3a class, built by Alco in Schenectady for GTR but transferred to CN) is seen here at Mimico Roundhouse in 1956. It’s main driving rod appears to be removed, suggesting it may be undergoing maintenance or being set up for transport to a heavier shop such as Stratford.
