Comments on: Canadian National Mikado 3422 (an S1f class unit originally built by Alco in 1913 for the GTR) handles the Sarnia-Stratford wayfreight as it steams past CN’s Camlachie station on a snowy day in 1959. Camlachie was located at Mile 56.69 of CN’s Forest Subdivision, which originally opened in the 1850′s as part of the Grand Trunk’s Sarnia-Toronto mainline. As the CN Forest Sub, the line ran between St. Mary’s Junction to Sarnia Junction and served as a branchline until it was abandoned in portions during the 1980′s.
Knowing the limitations of cameras back then I am surprised you tried for such an "in-your-face" photo. Turned out nice, though.
