Comments on: Carrying on from CWRL 7438 as posted last Sunday, here is CWRL 4301 on the opposite end of the engine shed at Warden on Saturday 1991-10-05, with grit blasting underway at 1040 MDT in preparation for a new paint job.

CWRL 4301 was nee Pittsburgh & Lake Erie 5680, an EMD GP7 serial 14577 of 1951-09, as rebuilt and upgraded by Morrison Knudsen at Boise in 1979.

Warden is midway between two junctions with the CN Endiang sub. (abandoned by the times I visited, but still quite apparent in Google aerial views), from the east on the south end and to the west on the north side of Warden.

Looks like an MK number.......I'm wondering if I had seen this unit in Hornell (NY) some years back.
Interesting caption. Thanks, Ken.
