Comments on: Charging westbound out of an afternoon storm, CN 435 is bathed in evening light coming down the hill towards Woodstock. Leading is veteran C40-8 standard cab 2103, with an SD70I and SD70M-2 trailing. Also noted is a beautiful mechanical bell and a nice horn from a friendly crew!

Barns and standard cabs are the only times for me when it is okay to have a GE leading GM's. This is a fine example. :-)

Yeah it's nice. About the grass, it looks like a train or something has used those rails recently, to cut the weeds off the tracks, as a photo from the same location earlier in August shows the rails covered in weeds. Very interesting to say the least!

Isaac, very, very nice picture ! Nice to see a standard cab in the lead, the neat Woodstock platform ends. A very bucolic scene of the Dundas Sub in a south-western Ontario “smaller town” with the evening peace and quiet being broken by the rumble of the diesels and the passing freight cars. Like the green grass nearly covering the 2 sidings on the left - looks like someone is cutting that grass. Thank you for posting.
