Comments on: Classic old CP station, located on the north side of town in this view from 40 years back. I find it fascinating too that the old ‘steam era’ water tower was still in existence. By then, there were very few of them left. When the station was removed, at least a good hunk of it ended up on a farm in the SW area of town, serving as a garage behind the main residence and it has been altered quite a bit. The village of Chesterville, pop about 1500, was born as such in 1890 but was dissolved into the township of North Dundas in 1998. This sleepy town is still surrounded by mostly dairy farms and quiet meadows…..

I doubt it would be, but do not know for sure. The station itself was moved many years ago.

I also enjoy the masonary on the water tower, the cap at the top looks out of level. Is this still here?

A wonderful addition to the Mooney Historic Stations Collection. I believe there was a large creamery and cheese plant there. Catching the still standing water tank makes this picture extra special.

Holy! That is quite a stonework base on the water tower.
Built like a brick something or another house.
