Comments on: CMQ 9011 and fresh repaint CP 5989 team up to haul a half loaded CWR train down the Mactier sub Friday morning. CMQ 9011 is one of 3 SD40-2F “barns” still actively operating under the CMQ tag, and 1 of 2 in the Baby Blues. CMQ 9020 & 9017 are the other 2 units left. The others are split between storage (CMQ 9004), New CP paint (CP 9010 & 9022), Awaiting new paint (CP 9014, 9021, 9023). And of course, the Hydrobarn out in Alberta (CP 1001 nee CMQ 9024). CP 5989 is also an interesting unit because CP seemingly pulled it out of storage and sent it right to Mayfield for refurbishment & repaint. It’s nice to see another SD40-2 come out of storage this year.
