All three of the elevators in this scene have since been torn down leaving Allan to blend in with so many other indistinct small prairie towns. Gone too, I suppose, is the link to the line’s Grand Trunk Pacific heritage as it was a GTP practise to have elevators built so far away from the main. One only needs to view a few photos of trains passing elevators on the CPR or former CNoR lines to appreciate this.
