What's even more interesting is as I was looking for a shot somewhere near or east of Georgetown (and the light wasn't looking to be all that great due to long shadows) there were three eastbound trains parked on the Halton sub between there and Malport and 435 was 'threading the needles' to get around them all, who was to meet 394 @ speyside.

But as 394 was on the Halton heading up the hill the RTC was able to get all three trains moving (some had been sitting over 2 hours)

all trains got moving just in time for 394 to have a clear signal. My worry is they were going to hold 394 at Georgetown and kill my shot as the light would have swung over completely by the mid morning..

tl;dr: eastbounds on a sunny day are very hard to shoot around here on CN this time of year due to poor sun angles and low sun/shadows.By the time most shadows are gone the sun's swung completely.

Radio is key - I was told they had to wait for 421 who had to leave Aldershot and cross over at Snake., I think they held back at Bayview Jct.

it was a good 30 minutes delay.

Thank you. I got lucky with this one. I think it should have been a good 20 min earlier than this. I don't understand how it took about 1.5 hrs from Brantford to here with no work at Aldershot (at least I assumed he didn't have work - no radio with me).

Wild lighting. He was really really early so finding a shadow free location down that way was.. difficult at best. You did well!
