		<description>Mike - The Brantford, Waterloo and Lake Erie built through here, and according to what I have read they were a shortcut-taking cheap railway and purchased a VERY narrow right of way through Brantford. (Where most other railways purchase a much wider right of way) By the time they went bankrupt and/or sold to the TH&amp;B the TH&amp;B was probably stuck with the railway as it was, and the homes were built up around it. Imagine how many trio&#039;s of C424&#039;s ran by here during the CP steel train days and the TH&amp;B West locals, and passenger trains... :)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;

Today most municipal planning/development requirements include a significant separation distance or a berm between housing developments and railways.</description>
