Comments on: CN 4572, GP-9 is seen handling Procor tank cars just north of Nanticoke, Ontario, in August of 1985. Storage tanks are seen to the right, and the caboose is further back on the main. I was in Nanticoke for a tour of the Stelco plant as a metallurgical engineering student at the University of Texas at El Paso. My mother’s cousin, Henning Christiansen of Hamilton, was a Stelco manager and arranged for the tour.

Neat photo Cameron. That would have been an interesting tour of the plant as well.

Thanks for this Terry, after 40 plus years I was not sure "exactly" where the photo was taken in the Nanticoke area as a 19 year old - just looked it up now. I spent some time yesterday on google maps, but thought it was farther north...ahhhh the fog of time - but seems like yesterday..... Thanks again. Dad was used to slamming on the brakes at grade crossings if there was a headlight.
