Checking past photos (2007/2008) the 9523 was developing gray spots on the nose then. Also, the top of the doorway to the black stripe over the top of the nose was already gray like this in those pictures. It’s a tough call. The nose is looking so weathered, yet the handrail stanchions are looking good.

Hmmm, did you get a shot of the carbody? I don’t think its faded paint. Looks more like smoething sprayed (cement) on the short hood?
