Comments on: CN 540 has completed their work on the Guelph North Spur and is seen curving towards the junction with the Guelph Sub. CN 4906 led from Kitchener so I was hoping to get GTW 4623 leading back west, but unfortunately the crew wyed the consist. It’s still a nice photo, but it would have been nicer if the GTW GP9R was leading! You can’t win them all.

I think the Kitchener crews know if they put those together it will be off the charts level of foam. They’re already dealing with a half dozen to a dozen people a day right now.

GT GP9 led 568 today, 540 was a GT leader, I managed to get both meeting in Kitchener over Lunch Break. Rob, come on up!

4906 was lifted by L533 last night as well and taken back to Mac Yard.

Oh it’s leading here…. quite often

Kitchener terminal is not the place to predict what will lead and when. There are three power sets and the crews often “change them” at will.

For example 540 will grab the big GE’s that 533 left behind and switch in the morning. Then switch to a pair of units for the rest of morning, then switch power again before departing.

568 can switch with a set then put 5 units together then depart west.

The GT has been taken out and used solo.. once so far.. engineers just take new toys for a ride while some put these in the middle because they hate it.

Again it’s all over the map as there’s so many engineers making their own decisions..

Right now it’s leading 568 (yesterday) and may lead today, but you can’t predict when things will change as it happens almost daily.

Maybe there is a problem with 4623, they wouldn’t have it lead here either.
