Comments on: CN A431 from Toronto had set-off 1412 overnight in the yard at Kitchener. When L568′s crew came on duty they were instructed to put 1412 in the middle of their consist as it had no IDU and had to be trail only. After switching the yard and building their train, L568 departed westbound to Stratford. Here it’s seen passing the Kitchener station with 4130, 1412 and 4761. After CN’s return to the Guelph Subdivision in November 2018, the proceeding winter gave area photographers some really retro consists and this was certainly one of them.

Of course RLK2211 is correct, my photos are 2/25/2019. Ended up paired with GMTX 2255 this day, ran east to Guelph then Acton and after crew complained it was in the middle afterwards.

The third unit, 4761, is a GP38-2W? Is it just me or does it look like a GEVO? The black over the cab door.

Great shot Jason! Interesting fun fact, I never shot a single GMD1 until they arrived after CN took full possession of the Guelph Sub. And now it seems they are in this area a lot ever since arrival on the Guelph Sub.

Nice catch getting it leading Steve. I think of the 3 GMD1's that came to Kitchener last year, this one was here for the least amount of time.

I shot it leading the day or two before on a 540 - was 1412 and GMTX unit - the next day it was put in the middle and remained there until it was evacuated from the Guelph Sub.

It's been in Hamilton most recently, not sure if it's still there
