Comments on: CN C44-9W 2616 leads a freight eastbound over the diamond at “Melrose” (Mile 12.2), on the Strathroy Sub just outside of Komoka. The train is crossing over CP’s Windsor Sub mainline, with the connecting track between the two lines visible on the right.

One of 2 “slow” diamonds left on CN in Sarnia-Montreal corridor. The other being at Doncaster on the Bala sub.

I think it was built specifically for a CP Double stacker that used the CN tunnel for a few years.
