		<description>At the time those were the most recent style of aluminum walkout crossing cantilevers and one of the best in my opinion. Walkout crossing cantilever structures allow for easy access to the cantilever mounted light units, eliminating the need for a bucket truck or ladder to access. A big improvement from the previous version of rotatable crossing cantilevers which allowed the cantilever arm to be rotated away from the travelled portion of the roadway by means of a crank inserted in the base, a bracket under the lights units allowed for a ladder to be placed to access the light units. Aluminium construction meant much less painting than the earlier steel constructed crossing cantilever structures manufactured in the CN Montreal Signal shops. This location was one of my first crossing cantilever installations after recently completing the London CTC Project.</description>
