Comments on: CN L562 had just departed Port Rob, and is seen here shortly after some brief work at Southern Yard. They are headed for the Hamilton Sub to access Feeder Yard to interchange with Trillium. I don’t know too much about Trillium’s operations and customers – can anyone please tell me who gets gons from them? I often see the second gon on this train (or ones just like it) on 421/422 and have always wondered where they go. It had an SLMX reporting mark.

Thanks for the info Myles. Those SLMX gons have always stood out like a sore thumb. Much shorter than typical, a little higher sides, blue, and rough as can be.

Dropped at Hamilton I believe. I only saw the one power set there at around 0745 this morning and saw/heard nothing down the hole on my way out of town, so I think that's where those two were for.

Thanks Graydon! Common on this particular job and in this particular locale. This unit came to Port Rob on 330 yesterday. Mainline power from 421 and 330 form the power for local trains around here such as L56x and L53x. I believe it has been a while since four axle power has had regular residence in Port Rob.

Nice shot on the solo sd60 James!! I wonder if its starting to become a regular thing to see such big heavy units on CN locals? Overall great catch and wish I could’ve gone out this afternoon to photograph some trans but I had work. 12-6.
