Comments on: CN oil electric 15836 with trailer car C-1 is seen arriving at Caledon East on June 18, 1960. This is the same Barrie-Gerogetown-Hamilton train in Clayton Morgan’s photo I posted earlier ,taken at Inglewood when it consisted of an SW1200, baggage car and coach. Special thanks to Ian for allowing me to share this historic gem. This service was discontinued a few months later and 15836 was retired in 1960 as well.

Ian, a wonderful , historical picture recalling many good memories, like the red front door being opened slightly to let air in to keep the engineer moderately cool. Photographed 15836 at Blackwater Jct when it was on the Lindsay-Atherley-Orillia-Midland run, but that service had ended when you took this picture. Did ride on C1 when it was part of D1-C1-C2 combo through Caledon East on my way from Beeton to Georgetown, and yes it was the Beeton Sub then. Thanks very much for sharing John

Wonderful scene, thanks for sharing ! As a pre-teen fan, I would look forward to train 663 arriving at Burlington in the very late afternoon, rocking and rolling along the Milton Sub until it made the station stop.
But if this is Caledon East, it would be the Beeton Subdivision.

That area has changed quite a bit. there is a small park where the freight shed and ramp were. the station is long gone, trees everywhere and Airport Road is much busier.
