<title>Comments on: CN SD40-2 5378 and GP40-2L(W) 9574 head freight #307 westbound on the York Sub approaching the diamond at Snider with some interesting loads on the head end: new subway cars from Thunder Bay for shipment overseas to Ankara, Turkey. In the mid-90&#8242;s, Ankara purchased an order of 108 new subway cars from Bombardier for their new Metro system. They were similar to the design of the TTC&#8217;s H6 subway cars (even though the TTC was started to get a slightly updated T1 design at the time). They were shipped by rail on flatcars from Thunder Bay to the east coast for export overseas.
