Comments on: CN SD40-2W 5290 leads Fort Erie – Toronto train #432 out of Hamilton, just crossing the Desjardin Canal, on a beautiful summer evening in 1989. I believe that this is one of the very few times I cut a freight coming out of Hamilton on a summer evening making this shot possible with light on the nose.

Beautiful shot Glenn! If you get there at the right time you can get the Pt.Rob to Sarnia train as it makes a lift in Hamilton daily and runs right after 422. The lighting would be different of course and as Stephen said, there is so much construction material around there right now. Good Luck

Great shot. And yes, this past few years getting a train here at this time of day, other than Amtrak, seems close to impossible.
