Comments on: CN semi-streamlined U4a-class Northern 6404 (one of five built by MLW in 1936) is pictured eastbound near Port Credit on the Oakville Sub, at Saul’s (Cooksville) Creek in 1958. While 6404 was scrapped in April 1960, surviving sister unit 6400 is preserved and on display at the Canadian Science and Technology Museum in Ottawa.

These were one of the few shrouded locomotive classes that really looked great! The choice of colors for CNR streamlined loco was superb, too. Only one remains today, and that is truly sad.
