Outflanked on the roster by the more popular SW1200RS model (that were equipped with road trucks and full numberboards for roadswitcher service), CN did have a handful of &#8220;plain&#8221; SW9 and SW1200 models built by GMD between 1952 and 1959. As-delivered, they wore the standard CN switcher livery of black with yellow letterbands, as seen here.</title>
