Comments on: CN U710 (loaded oil train) departs eastwards after changing crews at Turcot West. Lead engine is an ex-BNSF Unit (CN 2146), second unit is CN 2558 and third unit is BNSF 6584 (a fairly new GE ES44C4). BNSF units in Montreal are almost unheard of but will probably become more common with the upswing in CN oil trains. To the left is a spur which leads to Canadian Allied Diesel in Lachine, up until the early 1960s that was CN’s main line to points west of Montreal.
