Comments on: CNFD 100004, CNFD 100005, and CNFD 100006 make up the ‘Poseidon’ fire fighting consist that is sitting ready in CN’s Kamloops, BC Yard on May 3, 2023. The threat of wild fires was already in the news as I rode VIA 001 The Canadian westbound on this April 30 – May 4 trip. I’m sure these purpose built cars and their support crew were pressed into service in the coming days.

Interesting equipment, but you would think when heading off to a remote fire location, you might want to have 10 or 15 cars of water, not just two!!!
