Comments on: CNR 6167 makes its way west over East Catfish Creek at New Sarum nearing the halfway point of its excursion at St. Thomas.Originating at Toronto Union Station, the excursion ran to Hamilton where a pair of MLW RS3s; 3004, 3019, were added ahead of 6167 to assist the train up the Hagersville Subdivision to Caledonia, even though the 800 ton consist came in well under the 1,400 ton haulage capacity for Northerns up the grade. The diesels would be removed at Caledonia, the tender replenished with water, and the excursion would depart for Jarvis with a couple of runpasts along the way at Caledonia and Garnet, captured here by Bob Sandusky.
