Comments on: CNR 6167 recently restored – is now sporting its replica number plate and boards, sites beside the current generation: F40PH 6408 on the head end of VIA 84 at Guelph Station. 6167 is adorned in Red Ribbon due to a dedication ceremony officially handing off the locomotive back to the City of Guelph. No longer fenced in (just one side) this beautiful steamer is accessible from this parking lot behind the station, beside the GO kiss and ride.Cosmetic restoration of 6167 had begun in 2002 guided by a Restoration Committee (Many of whom are members of the Guelph Historical Railway Association plus a few dedicated members from out of town and Museums staff and today the locomotive officially became a third museum site under the Guelph Museums department.Any folks with shots of 6167 in excursion service? Here are a few posted to Railpictures.ca – Search the site to see what new images have been added in the meantime:

Nice to see that locomotive restored and treated better than when it was by the Greyhound coach station (from when I remember it when I worked in Guelph back in 2005). Looks good!
