Comments on: CP 253 has CP 8059, CP 9363, UP 6629, UP 6853 and a whopping 161 cars as it passes Lasalle Yard on a sunny but below freezing morning. The leader was rebuilt from CP 9500, CP’s first AC4400CW.

Thanks. Lasalle Yard is completely empty most of the time; once in awhile a few cars will be left there. The South Bank Branch’s last customer was served around 2016 and has not had service in a number of years, in fact the spur towards that track has been partly paved over. However there are two remaining clients on the Lasalle Loop Spur, the track in the foreground in my shot leads to that spur.

Michael, very nice shot, interesting to see CP’s recycled first AC4400CW along with the colourful UP units. Is CP’s LaSalle yard still being used ? And how about the CP spur along the south edge of the old Lachine Canal, any customers still being served ? Thanks for posting.
