Comments on: CP 5502 and 5553 power a train out of the confines of the old Lambton Yard. This once popular spot (for me!) down at the old Junction Triangle area has undergone such massive renovations and realignments I honestly wonder if I would recognize anything if I went back there today. I’m standing with my back to the diamond, the crossing of North Toronto and MacTier subs by the Galt sub over which this train is eastward. Note the number of MoW shacks for housing Speeders and other equipment. And the Old Weston Road bridge is still in existence. Somebody viewing this image has been around there recently, I’d hope. An update would be appreciated.

Was a great location. Spent days on the old bridge in the late seventies.
Toronto is a good city but railroading is tough to watch now!

Thanks, Slickster!! An LA Fitness? Really?? Well, I guess that would make sense if the place has thick cement floors.:o) I'm thinking the "JCT" would still be a good place to hang out, where else are you going to get much activity on CP.........appreciate you taking time to write.

Beauty shot, lets see now. The pedestrian bridge is gone, the diamond is gone, Lambton was converted into 8 super tracks that span from end to end. The industry on the North side was a cement plant, now an LA Fitness. No MoW shacks, and of course traffic has really dwindled, no more yard power based out of here, T15 runs here daily to drop cars for CN to grab thrice or 4 times a week and for trains such as 246/235 and sometimes 147 to take west, a far cry from even 5 years ago. What I would have given to have more memories of Lambton and the surrounding area units hey day. Thanks for sharing this Arnold, would love to see more of your stuff from this area as it has been an area that I have covered pretty well too.
