5736 together with 5737 were the units involved in the November 1975 wreck at Puslinch.ON. They were making their shakedown runs having come out of the GMD factory a day before. They went to Windsor, then were put on 904 next morning for the intended run to Toronto or perhaps Montreal.
A fellow I worked with was killed in the wreck. He was riding the lead unit 5736 when it struck a loaded dump truck on that fateful day. Both units were repaired & went on to a long career on CP.
