Comments on: CP 6708 (SW8) switches out some hi-cubes for Ford Motor Co at the West end of Oakville Yard. At this date the CN and CP both had yard jobs switching Ford’s Oakville assembly plant. However, a CP engine did not mean it was a CP crew. Crews were just assigned whatever power was available first. CP crews did prefer using the CN power as the cabs were much nicer.

Fond memories at Oakville yard. Sometimes they would even pair up with CN SW1200’s.
