Comments on: CP 8757 is painted in (what I like to call) a remembrance paint scheme. The unit hopefully sparks conversation about Canada’s past relations with Indigenous peoples of this land. It is not a joyful remembrance, rather an acknowledgement of the atrocious committed and a pledge to do better in the future. CP 8757 “Every Child Matters” honours the memory of the countless children forced into residential schools and the thousands killed or traumatized while enrolled.
