It seems a number of people shot this train. On Sept. 22, 1974 a bus tour was run by the Toronto & York Division of the CRHA, exploring the former Canadian Pacific Electric Lines from Kitchener - Waterford. Both Don Coulman and Grant Love (friends from Guelph) shot this train side by side.

Full consist was 5005, 4223, 5022.

The Grant Love Collection was recently donated to the Guelph Historical Railway Association.

Ron, I wondered that myself. With the extra flags being so taut, it’s either a windy day, or they’re making good speed. The following shots show autoracks as the first 10 or so cars.

Interesting shot. At that time it was common to see 3 four axle units in a mix of GP-35s and C-424s. Three four axle units were given the same tonnage ratings as two six axle units. In this photo, I have to wonder what the head end brakeman is doing, did he just climbed back on the unit after making a lift at Galt?
