Comments on: CP Rail C-424 4213 leads the short-lived #909 train through the Hornby dip approaching Milton. #909 was a Toronto – Windsor TOFC train, which I believe was run primarily for one of the trucking companies.

RonaldB, thanks for the information on that train. I contacted a person who has studied the TNT operation in Canada. See:
http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/rene_buron_tnt09.htm
for more details.
Rene was pleased to see the picture of the whole train. Thanks Glenn Courtney for taking and sharing the picture. I learned something from this I was unaware of.

The train was run for TNT and it ran between Windsor and Oshawa. The big problem that sunk the service was lack of an agreement to let London crews run through to Oshawa.
The train was delayed for a bit in Toronto waiting for Toronto crews to take over for the short run to Oshawa.
An agreement was negotiated a few years later for a similar point to point service, the frame train out of St. Thomas. to Oshawa.
