<title>Comments on: CP Rail SD40-2 5604 leads SD40 5544, RS18 8735, and a 4220-series C424 on a southbound freight past the Ontario Northland shops near Main Street overpass in North Bay. The paint on CP 5604 is still looking fresh and shiny, having been outshopped from GMD London months before in May 1972. SD40 5544 in old script paint wouldn&#8217;t be long for the paint shop (sister 5541 would become the last SD40 in script, finally being repainted in mid-1975).

If one looks close enough, the first car behind the power is an old 40&#8242; livestock car, usually handled at the head-end to make switching it out for feeding and watering the livestock easier.
