Comments on: CP SD40-2′s 6018 and 6045 head up the westbound Expressway at Roblindale (Mile 68.7 of CP’s Belleville Sub) in October 2005. SD40-2 power was common on the Expressway, initially 5660- and 5740-series SD40-2′s (including specially branded units 5742 and 5745), and later even pairs of SD40-2F’s.

Toward the end of their 'tenure' Expressway trains were seeing just about any power combos. One week they tried 2 GP-40s & the train couldn't get up to track speed most of the time. When they reduced service to 1 train daily, it was too long to clear the crossing circuit at Roblindale, so it was sometimes necessary to hold back until the meet arrived to avoid blocking the crossing excessively.
