Comments on: CP train 118 passed through Thunder Bay this afternoon with a string of British army equipment on flatcars eastbound from Alberta. Tioga Pass – RPCX 800693 – brings up the rear as the train travels along the mainline adjacent to CP’s Westfort yard.

A quick semi-related question...............I'm an army brat who spent 5 years in Petawawa, Ontario, during the sixties and the base railhead was very busy. With all of the line removals along the Ottawa valley, does the base get served by rail anymore? Google Maps seems to have a confusing mix of dated shots...some show track, some don't. Thanks

This train was put togetour at CFB Suffield, between Calgary and Medicine Hat. I was two days away from finishing a cycle on a railgrinder when we worked past this train being put togetour. The Tioga Pass was brought up from Medicine Hat on a Extra with a solo 2239 leading.
